WILD COAST BREW AND ILA ROSE COLLABORATED TO CREATE OUR CANISTER'S ARTISTIC DESIGN
Brewed infusions with plants and herbs have been core to our identity since the birth of humanity; so too were ancient myths, derived from our surroundings and retold over countless generations. Our unique teas at Wild Coast Brew are created with those primordial stories in mind. Each artisan small batch tea blend celebrates an archetype, passed down through story and shared imagination, and an accompanying creature of the natural world, adorned with befitting herbs and spices. All animals are inhabitants of the Oregon landscape, holding special meaning to the human inhabitants that live among them. Because our teas are born of experimentation and wild creativity, so too are the stunning paper tubes that hold them. For this design concept seen on our canisters, we combined our creative design skills with the beautiful painting skills of local artist and friend, Ila Rose.
ILA ROSE IS A PAINTER, BASED OUT OF EUGENE, OREGON
Rose is inspired and humbled by those who have formed close relationships with the earth. Instances of this human-environment interconnection are rich with symbolism. These archetypal symbols, as they echo throughout time and space, have instinctively landed themselves in ila's art. She finds her work guides her, rather than the other way around. Science is important and fascinating to rose, who also honors the magic that lingers in that which is unknown and unprovable. With the painter's tools, ila explores the limits of what we claim to know, and challenges the viewer to forge bravely on, into the mysterious realms of the infinite moment.

Cellophane Bags made from plants
It was important to use no plastics in the shipping and packaging of our product. We sought out numerous options and settled on sealing our teas fresh in plant-based cellophane bags from Elevate Packaging. This package is bio-based, non-GMO, and completely compostable.

Recycled Paper Tubes
When we dreamed up the concept behind Wild Coast Brew, matching the quality of the tea blends to the packaging was paramount. How could we put our sustainably produced product in something that would just be thrown into a landfill?
As people who value reuse over recycle, we decided to collaborate with our friend and Eugene mural artist, Ila Rose. We worked together on our concept for each blend, and display each blend's artwork prominently on our recycled paper tubes. The result is a package that is too pretty to throw away. Recycled Shipping Boxes
We ship our tea tubes in boxes made from recycled material by EcoEnclose. They are sized to fit your exact order, so there's no wasted space or material. Because of how the boxes fold in on themselves, only a single strip of biodegradable tape is needed to seal the boxes shut.
