Ingredients
- 4 oz Lover-infused Teaquila
- 2 1/2 oz lime juice (the juice of 2 1/2 limes)
- 1 1/2 oz agave syrup
- 1 egg white
- splash of sparkling water
For the Hibiscus-infused tequila:
- 6 oz blanco tequila
- 2 tbsp the Lover blend
Here’s a cocktail for the lover in us all, one that you’ll want to sip both on the patio in the height of summer and by the fire in the thick of winter.
This cocktail uses tequila that is infused with the Lover blend, thus concentrating that dominant hibiscus-cacao flavor and crimson color directly into the tequila. The cocktail has a lovely herbal back-end too due to the infusion of herbs like blackberry leaf and rose from the blend.
- Make ahead. For the teaquila infusion, pour 6 oz of blanco tequila over 2 heaping tablespoons of the Lover tea blend in a jar. Infuse in a dark place for 2 days
- Combine all ingredients except sparkling water in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously
- Pour into highball glass or coupe
- Add a splash of sparkling water
- (optional) Top with a hibiscus and/or a mint sprig
